Another album that borrows heavily on Tangerine Dream early to mid 80s era style coupled with bass and guitar treatment massively inspired by Pink Floyd. In fact, this track could very well be a - very enhanced - remix of Run Like Hell with Johannes Schmoelling on synths!
Favorite track: The Witching.
Besides obvious horror inspirations, this album is mostly action-oriented and packs quite a punch as it focuses on speed and aggression. It's something to get your heart pumping.
Favorite track: Death Perception.
The third album from 20SIX Hundred continues to explore synthesized soundscapes, while incorporating an essence of late 70's Giallo and 80's futuristic "outrun". Using themes of darkness and loneliness, infused with a sense of dread and madness, "The Cold Rise From Sleep" will keep you constantly looking over your shoulder.
"...I deeply enjoyed this album on a huge variety of levels. The rich storytelling and mixtures of sounds from many different influences makes for something very special. It works exceedingly well as a concept or soundtrack album but the individual tracks themselves stand on their own as being parts just as important as the whole. The album is a masterfully made experience that raises the bar on the soundtrack oriented album. "

A synth-wave record with all the right pieces to bring metalheads.
so much aggression in tone pallet and really brilliant writing and sound design that bathes in a cyberpunk atmosphere MyNameIsRedundant
supported by 166 fans who also own “The Cold Rise From Sleep”
A really great synth-wave/synth-rock release that has a great amount of variety between chill, atmospheric tracks and blood pumping, energetic tracks.
The only mark against it is that i found some of the features on tracks to be the weakest parts and generally weaker tracks MyNameIsRedundant
